The ever present Mt Baker is a volcano that forms part of the Pacific Rim of Fire in our seismically active region. A string of volcanoes stretches from northern California well into British Columbia, and the one closest to us, just south of the border with the USA, is visible from many parts of our community. The view from our local beach is particularly good on a clear day.
