I visited this beautiful spot near where "Island Charm" (also in this gallery) was painted. Princess Margaret Cove is on Portland Island, which was given to the Princess by the British Columbia government in 1958. A few years later, in 1967, she gave it back to the people of BC. The island actually contains three ancient middens and currently is a boat access only marine park just off the south coast of Vancouver Island.
