Kaleidoscope

This shore of this beautiful lake in the alpine behind Mt Baker affords a fantastic view of Mt Shuksan (a Lummi word thought to mean High Peak). This image of Mt Shuksan and Picture Lake in Washington State sneaks into this gallery as it's a mountain theme. As a small child I was there with my parents, sitting on the warm dry spongy ground in among the bushes on a sunny day. The many colours and the scene made it feel like I was sitting in a painting, hence the title.
