I visited this beautiful spot on Portland Island several years ago. This painting from Princess Margaret Cove is from several photos I took that day and was done as a demo for the Richmond Artists' Guild and finishing touches were done in studio. In 1958 the BC govt. gave the island to Princess Margaret, who gave it back in 1967. It contains 3 ancient middens and currently operates as a boat only access marine park just off of the southern end of Vancouver Island. Also from near this location, is another painting: "Serenity" which is to be found in this same gallery.
