Gourdgeous

The first day this year with the plein air group at a local farm and I chose my subject within a wagon of gourds that had been left out over the winter. The weathered dried out rinds, mildewed and pockmarked by holes and the lumps and bumps with all of the bright colours washed out of them had the most interesting shapes.
