Descending Matthew's Traverse from the peak of Whistler on an August afternoon, there are moments where one glimpses Overlord Glacier. Then the view opens up and the entirety of the vista is spread across the landscape like a quilt of colours. Here in shadow and there in sunlight, I could paint iterations of this area and never run out of subject. Everywhere one looks there is another painting.
