This image is painted from a photo taken by @elviegrams when she hiked the Juan de Fuca trail on Vancouver island. We follow each other on Instagram. When I saw it, the lovely diagonals in the image and the tide pools caught my eye. I asked permission to paint from her photo, and she said yes. When I posted the work in progress on my instagram @monica_burrow_artist, she asked if she could have right of first refusal. The finished piece turned out to be a match!
